When to Visit
Open Hours:
The museum grounds are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Please plan to leave before dark—there is no artificial lighting on site.
Visiting Outside of Events:
You’re welcome to explore the grounds on non-event days! While the buildings and machinery are only operational during events or volunteer days, the trails, structures, and interpretive signage offer plenty to enjoy year-round.
Volunteer Days:
On Tuesdays from 9 a.m.–1 p.m., our dedicated volunteer crew is often on site, and they’re happy to chat and show you around when possible.

The museum is an outdoor site with historical structures and unpaved trails. Please wear appropriate footwear and be prepared for uneven ground.
