Trail Options

Maine Forest & Logging Museum Go-back Trail

The Go-Back Trail

Approx. Time: 15 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
Highlights:

  • Inspired by historic "go-back roads" used during the sled logging era
  • Provided a return route for unloaded teams, tractors, or Lombards without blocking main haul roads
  • Offers safe viewing areas during Lombard demonstrations
  • Features interpretive displays along a quiet, scenic loop trail

Nature Trail
